Warning: Using a private-insured vehicle for business purposes can void your policy. If you transport goods, carry passengers for hire, or use your vehicle for any commercial activity, you need commercial vehicle insurance.

Goods-in-Transit (GIT) Insurance — What You Need to Know
GIT insurance is separate from vehicle insurance. It covers the value of goods being transported, not the vehicle itself.
GIT Coverage Example
You're delivering RM 15,000 worth of electronics. Your van is involved in an accident and the goods are destroyed. Your commercial vehicle insurance covers van repairs. GIT insurance covers the RM 15,000 in goods. Without GIT, you personally lose RM 15,000.
Fleet Insurance — Is It Worth It?
Fleet insurance covers 3+ vehicles under one policy. Benefits:
- • 10-25% cheaper than individual policies
- • Single renewal date for all vehicles
- • Easier claims management
- • Flexible driver coverage (any authorized driver)
- • Customizable coverage per vehicle type
Breakeven point: Fleet insurance becomes cost-effective at 3+ vehicles. At 5+ vehicles, the savings are typically 20%+ vs individual policies.
